Bringing rhythmic interplay and exploration center stage, dancer and drummer explore shared systems, and build new rhythmic approaches by exploring the differences in rhythmic approach inherent in the divergent physicality of the bodhrán and step dance. Through this process, fresh rhythmic tapestries are formed based on the structures of Irish melodies and the physicality and functionality of the separate instruments.
The hour-long show features explorations of driving traditional dance melodies paired with abstract, experimental interludes. Danielle and Anna are also available for workshops and teaching opportunities.
